Christel Rode was a German track cyclist .

In 1904 Christel Rode became German champion in the amateur sprint . In 1911 he was "World Champion" in this discipline at the unofficial track world championships of the Federation of German Cyclists in Dresden . In 1913 he won the national title for a second time. In the same year, he came third in the amateur sprint at the World Railroad Championships in Berlin and finished second behind world champion William Bailey in the renowned sprint classic Grand Prix de Paris .
