Markus Nagel (born May 19, 1967 in Karlsruhe ) is a former German track cyclist and today's cycling trainer.
Markus Nagel has won German championship titles seven times in the disciplines of time trials , tandem races and sprints . In 1990 he was third in the tandem race at the UCI Track World Championships in 1990 in Maebashi , together with Uwe Buchtmann .
After retiring from cycling, Nagel became a trainer, initially from 1997 to 2001 as a junior trainer for the national track team of the Association of German Cyclists , and from 2002 to mid-2012 as the national track trainer in Switzerland. Then he was national coach in Iran . In 2013 he worked for Bicycle Holidays Max Hürzeler in Mallorca .
