Hans Bernhardt

Hans Bernhardt (born January 28, 1906 in Leipzig , † November 29, 1940 in Amsterdam ) was a German track cyclist .

At the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam , Bernhardt, a member of the RV Zugvogel Hannover , won the bronze medal in the tandem race together with Karl Köther ; in the sprint he took fourth place.

Bernhardt died in the occupied Netherlands in 1940 during the Second World War ; he is buried in the Ysselsteyn military cemetery.
