Christian-Wilhelm Rowoldt

Christian-Wilhelm Rowoldt (born March 23, 1915 in Bad Sülze ; † September 28, 2007 ) was a German party functionary of the GDR block party NDPD . From 1958 to 1976 he was a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR .

Life

Rowoldt, son of the businessman Hermann Rowoldt, attended elementary school in Bad Sülze and the secondary school in Rostock . He passed the Abitur and received commercial training from 1934 to 1937. He then did military service and war service in the Wehrmacht and became a prisoner of war . After his return in 1948 he worked as a salesman and in 1950 became a partner in his father's business. In 1950 he became a member of the National Democratic Party of Germany (NDPD). From 1954 to 1958 he was a member of the Rostock District Assembly and a member of the Standing Commission for Trade and Supply. As one of the first commission dealers in the Ribnitz-Damgarten district , he concluded a commission contract with the trade organization (HO) in 1958 . In the same year he became a member of the district board and district committee Rostock of the NDPD. From 1963 he headed the working group general partners , craftsmen and tradespeople of the Rostock district committee of the GDR National Front as chairman .

From 1958 to 1976 he was a member of the NDPD parliamentary group of the People's Chamber and from 1963 to 1967 a member, from 1967 to 1971 secretary and from 1971 to 1976 deputy chairman of the committee for trade and supply. At the age of 67, he retired in 1982 and the HO took over his business. During the change in the GDR in 1989/90 he was a participant in the round table in Bad Sülze.

Rowoldt was married and had four children. He died at the age of 92.
