Christian Franke (born January 24, 1891 in Todtenhausen (Minden) , † September 15, 1972 in Weener ) was a German entrepreneur , politician (NSDAP) and regional economic consultant .

Christian Franke was born the son of a farmer. After attending secondary school up to Obersekunda, he entered the administrative service. In the First World War he fought on the Western Front from 1914 to 1918 . In 1917 he took over the management of the munitions department at the General Command of the 26th Reserve Army Corps. In 1918 Franke, who was awarded the Iron Cross of both classes during the war , moved to the Artillery Regiment III "to carry out special tasks".

After the war Franke worked in industry. In 1921 he became factory manager and in 1924 a member of the board of a stock corporation. In 1928 he took a position as export director in a large factory in Holland.

On September 15, 1931 Franke joined the NSDAP . In 1932 he became district economic advisor to the NSDAP and Gaukampfbund leader of the commercial middle class in NSDAP- Gau Westfalen-Nord . In 1933, the trustee of labor for the Westphalia economic area appointed him his special representative.

From March 1933 to May 1945 Franke sat as a member of the NSDAP for constituency 17 (North Westphalia) in the Reichstag . Franke was the holder of the golden party badge .

Franke was also president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Münster until it closed in 1942 , a member of the close advisory board of the Reich Chamber of Commerce and a member of the advisory board of the German group of the International Chamber of Commerce for the Netherlands, and from 1935 to 1945 the Prussian Provincial Councilor of the Province of Westphalia .

In 1938 Franke became a partner in the aryanized West German plywood works Hugo Bresser & Co. in Wiedenbrück . Franke denounced the managing director Hugo Bresser, who died in Nazi custody in early 1945. Franke was sentenced to two years and ten months in prison for crimes against humanity in 1948 by the Paderborn Regional Court .
