Christian Hock (born April 11, 1970 in Aschaffenburg ) is a former German soccer player and current coach and sports director . He grew up in Waldaschaff in the Aschaffenburg district.
career
Hock completed one game in the Bundesliga for Borussia Mönchengladbach and 240 games in the 2nd Bundesliga for Viktoria Aschaffenburg and FSV Mainz 05 , scoring 24 goals. He let his active career end with the southern regional division Kickers Offenbach , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of his career in summer 2005.
From October 16, 2006 to December 17, 2008, Hock worked as the coach of SV Wehen , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga for the first time in the club's history at the end of the 2006/07 season . At the beginning of the 2007/08 season he acted as an assistant coach, as he did not have the necessary head coach license. Djuradj Vasic was hired as head coach . Despite a successful start to the season with four points from two games, Vasic was given a leave of absence on August 20, 2007. From August 21, 2007, Hock acted as team boss and Steffen Vogler as coach of the team that is now playing under the name of SV Wehen Wiesbaden . Because of the bad sporting record after the first half of the season, Hock was given leave of absence from SV Wehen Wiesbaden on December 18, 2008.
On October 14, 2009, Hock became the new head coach of the second division club Rot Weiss Ahlen . At this point in time, the Westphalia had only earned one point in eight matches and were last in the table. However, despite some new signings in the course of the season, Hock did not manage to lead the Ahlen team out of the table, Ahlen was also at the bottom of the table after the season. His contract, which expired on June 30, 2010 and was valid for the 2nd division, was not extended after Ahlen was relegated to the 3rd division .
On November 12, 2010, Hock was introduced as a coach at the regional division FC 08 Homburg . On April 22, 2011, the contract with the Homburgers was terminated by mutual agreement. On the same day, Hock was introduced as the new coach at the regional division KSV Hessen Kassel . There he signed a contract until the end of the season with the option to extend by one year in the event of promotion to the 3rd division. Although the promotion did not succeed, it was possible to agree on a contract extension until 2012 without a release clause. After three defeats in a row and 13th place in the table after the 13th matchday, Hock was given early leave on October 18, 2011 by KSV Hessen Kassel.
On October 1, 2012, Hock became a coach at TSV Schott Mainz , which played in the Südwest association league , and signed a contract with Rheinhessen until the end of the season. At the end of the season, the promotion was narrowly missed and Hock wanted to continue, but the SV Wehen, his main employer, where he has been running the NWLZ since January 1, 2013, wanted him back. From July 1, 2013, he trained the U-19 team of SV Wehen.
On April 12, 2015, after Marc Kienle was released from work, Hock took over the position of head coach of the professional team of SV Wehen Wiesbaden on an interim basis until the end of the season. After Sven Demandt's dismissal, Hock again held the interim coaching position at SV Wehen Wiesbaden in March 2016, which prevented relegation from the third division with a win on the last match day. In February 2017, after the resignation of Torsten Fröhling, he took over the interim coaching position at SV Wehen Wiesbaden. After Rüdiger Rehm signed a contract as head coach with the third division team until 2019 on February 13, 2017 , Hock returned to the position of sports director at SV Wehen.
