Christian Hellmann

Christian Hellmann (born May 12, 1961 ) is a German journalist . He is editor-in-chief of the Funke media group's program guides .

Life

Christian Hellmann studied journalism , politics and history at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster . However, his special field of interest was film . He wrote for Heyne Science Fiction Magazine and in 1983 published the non -fiction book Der Science-Fiction-Film in the Heyne Filmbibliothek series , which had a second edition in 1985.

After completing his studies, Hellmann worked as a freelance journalist before joining the Milchstrasse publishing group in 1989 as editor-in-chief of the film magazine Kino . In 1990 he was also a co-developer and founding editor-in-chief of TV Spielfilm for the publishing group and was part of its management from 1995 , responsible for the TV feature film , television and online areas . In 1998 he was appointed managing director of TV Spielfilm Verlag GmbH.

From September 1999 Christian Hellmann was CEO of Hamburg- based Tomorrow Internet AG. After this company in late 2001 as part of a merger with Focus Digital AG for Tomorrow Focus AG , based in Munich , was merged, Hellmann made in December 2001 as owner of a consulting firm in Hamburg independently .

Finally he switched to Axel Springer AG, where he became the founding editor of TV Digital in 2004. In February 2009 he was appointed general editor-in-chief of the Springer program magazinesTV Digital , Hörzu , Funk Uhr , TV Neu , Bildwoche  . He is also editor-in-chief of the titles Hörzu Wissen and Hörzu Heimat . On August 1, 2014, Christian Hellmann also took over editorial responsibility for Gong and Bild + Funk .

For Springer-Verlag he is also a member of the jury that decides on the winners of the Golden Camera television award .

Funk Uhr and others have been part of the Klambt media group's program guide since May 2014 .
