Christian Piller (born May 17, 1968 in Munich ) is a German handball coach and former handball player , who was mostly used as a left backcourt player .

Career

The 2.03 m tall right-hander played for MTSV Schwabing and TV Niederwürzbach , with whom he reached the final games in the DHB Cup in 1991 . Then he ran for the second division TuS 04 Kaiserslautern-Dansenberg and the TV Eitra , before joining the Bundesliga club TuS Nettelstedt in 1995 , with whom he won the City Cup in 1997 and 1998 . In 2001 he was relegated to the 2nd handball Bundesliga . He then moved to VfL Hameln , where he was fired in March 2002. He then played for the TVA Saarbrücken. In 2003 he was hired by the HSG Völklingen.

In the 2008/09 season, Christian Piller coached the Saarland league team HSG Dudweiler. The following seasons he was player-coach at TV Merchweiler, with whom he was relegated from the same league in 2011. From 2011 he coached the Saarland league team TBS Saarbrücken.

Private

Christian Piller is a civil engineer by profession . He is married and has one child.
