society

Träsch joined TV 1861 Ingolstadt at the age of four . As a younger D-Junior he moved to MTV Ingolstadt and during the winter break after his first B-year he went to the football boarding school of TSV 1860 Munich , for whose second team he played from 2006. In July 2007 he moved to the second team at VfB Stuttgart . Träsch made his Bundesliga debut in the starting line-up of VfB's first team on February 3, 2008 in the game against FC Schalke 04 . He scored his first Bundesliga goal on October 4, 2008 in the home game against Werder Bremen with his first shot on goal in the Bundesliga. His contract ran until June 2012.

In July 2011 he moved to VfL Wolfsburg and signed a contract that ran until 2015. On August 6, 2011 Träsch succeeded Marcel Schäfer as the Wolfsburg team captain ; in August 2012, Diego Benaglio replaced him again.

At the end of August 2017, he left VfL Wolfsburg and moved to FC Ingolstadt 04, his hometown . His contract ran until 2021. He made his debut for FC Ingolstadt on September 9, 2017, when he was in the starting line-up against FC Erzgebirge Aue on matchday five of the Bundesliga 2 and in the 78th minute for Antonio Čolak was replaced. After the Ingolstadt team were relegated to the 3rd division in spring 2019 , he did not receive a new contract.

After several months without a club, during which he had temporarily kept himself fit at VfB Eichstätt , the defensive player signed a contract in the United Arab Emirates with al-Wasl in early February 2020 , who is trained by former Bundesliga player Laurențiu Reghecampf .

National team

On May 19, 2009 he was nominated for the first time by national coach Joachim Löw for the upcoming Asia trip of the German national team . Träsch made his international debut on June 2, 2009 in Dubai against the United Arab Emirates . On May 6, 2010 he was appointed to the expanded squad for the 2010 World Cup by national coach Joachim Loew . A capsule injury in the upper right ankle joint, which Träsch sustained on May 24, 2010 in a training match between the national team and FC Südtirol , prevented Träsch from participating in the World Cup in South Africa. He was planned by the DFB coaching team for the final World Cup squad.

In the two years after the World Cup, Träsch was a regular member of the DFB squad and made eight appearances, but only one in a competitive game. He was unable to establish himself in the position of right full-back and was not considered for the 2012 European Championship . He played a total of ten games: five friendly matches in 2011, three friendly matches in 2010, one friendly match in 2009 and a five-minute deployment in the 2010/2011 European Championship qualification.
