Christian Célestin Joseph Dauvergne (born November 26, 1890 in Boulogne-Billancourt , † April 30, 1954 in Bordeaux ) was a French racing driver .

Career

Christian Dauvergne was a works driver at Chenard & Walcker in the 1920s and took part in a role at French motorsport events. He achieved his most important racing victory in 1924 when he won a frame race for racing vehicles up to 1400 kg as part of the French Grand Prix . However, he drove a Peugeot in this race .

When 24-hour race at Le Mans Dauvergne was in 1923 in the debut race at the start and reached together with Raoul Bachmann ranks second in the overall standings. In 1924 he was fifth, this time with the Spaniard Raphaël Manso de Zuñiga as a partner. After a retirement in 1926, as the second driver alongside Louis Wagner in the Peugeot 174S, he achieved another top position in 1928 with Robert Benoist in an Itala in eighth place overall.
