plant

In 2011 she was co-founder of the digital-only publishing house eriginals berlin , where texts by Ruth Klüger and Alan Posener were published. At Frohmann Verlag , founded in 2012 , she publishes literary and scientific texts on all aspects of new literatures and net-cultural phenomena. As a publisher, editor and author, Frohmann is a pioneer of digital literature in Germany; she publishes Neue Kleine Formen, such as those created on Twitter , publishes collaboratively written texts such as the versioned e-book Thousands of Deaths , and publishes in cooperation with the author collective 0x0a genuinely digital texts. As a work in progress, she has been developing the concept and term "selfie publishing" for performative digital self-construction in lectures and texts since 2013, and since 2014 the term "performative enlightenment" for putting people into situations in which they are rational Experience inaccessible phenomena without fear and thus potentially understand them and since 2015 the term "instantaneous" for the fluid time-space feeling in the digital world.

Since April 2012 Frohmann has been running the Katersalon she founded , a series of cultural and scientific performances at changing locations, including the Bar 25 successor Kater Holzig , the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz of re: publica and the Zündfunk Netzkongress. For the hangover salon she received the Virenschluder Award for viral marketing from the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2013 .

Frohmann has been a freelance editor and presenter of the Generator program at reboot.fm in the House of World Cultures since 2013 , which deals with network cultural phenomena such as Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response , digital legacy and Facebook -nur-you-poems.

In 2014, together with digital publishers Nikola Richter and Fabian Thomas and designer Andrea Nienhaus, she organized the Electric Book Fair , the first trade fair for digital literature in Germany. Since the end of 2014 she has been working together with the event concept Leander Wattig on the event platform ORBANISM, where she oversees the areas of theory and publishing. With the cultural scientist Asal Dardan and the journalist Michaela Maria Müller , she has been developing the event and publishing format At one table since 2014 .

In 2015, Frohmann founded the first edition event series in Berlin . Soirée for digital literature , dedicated to promoting digital-only and digital-first publications. The editorial team handed it over to blogger Tania Folaji in 2017.

In 2018 she developed the fictional characters Pre-Raphaelite Girls , who make cultural-philosophical observations in memes-based image-text combinations. The Pre-Raphaelite Girls are published on Twitter and Instagram and as books.

Positions

Frohmann advocates the thesis that e-books and books should be thought of as complementary but separate. She differentiates between "right" and "wrong e-books". As the editor in charge, she has published a versioned aesthetic of the e- book for the Board of Trustees of the Electric Book Fair .

With her various formats, Frohmann pursues the blurring of the boundaries between publisher , author and reader as well as genres , discourses and milieus that are traditionally thought of as separate , for which she is gradually developing a network variant of the nonsense poetry known from early romanticism , in 2016 under the term "Datendada". In the genuinely digital areas, she sees her publishing as performance art .

Frohmann advocates sensible impulse control in the performative space of the Internet, especially in view of clickbait .
