Christiane Weber (musician)
Christiane Weber (born August 17, 1975 in Essen ; † June 8, 2012 there ) was a German singer , music cabaret artist and lyricist.
Life
Weber completed a master's degree in theater studies at the Ruhr University in Bochum . During her studies she already performed in a duet with guitarist Volker Niehuesmann. In addition to working in the music cabaret / chanson area, various publications in the jazz area and the release of a children's CD Krümelmucke .
From 1997 to 2009 she formed the Weber-Beckmann duo with pianist Timm Beckmann . The two musicians released several chanson programs as well as CDs and appeared on radio and television.
From May to November 2010 she was on stage with the Honolulu principle until her break due to illness and was accompanied on the piano by Burkhard Niggemeier.
She continued to work on the children's project Krümelmucke - music for the little ones. , the second part of which she was able to complete almost completely despite serious illness.
Weber died of cancer on June 8, 2012 .
