Christin Priebst (born September 18, 1983 in Dresden ) is a German short tracker .

Priebst played her first international championships in January 1999 when she started at the Junior World Championship and the European Championship and was eleventh in the all- around competition. In October 2001 she made her World Cup debut in Calgary . At the European Championships in Grenoble in 2002 , she won bronze with the relay and thus her first international medal. She qualified for the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City , where she reached 16th place over 1000 m and 1500 m and eighth place with the relay. Priebst celebrated successes in the following years, especially with the relay. In 2003, she achieved third place in the relay and thus for the first time the podium in a World Cup race. She won the bronze medal at the European Championships in 2004 in Zoetermeer and in 2005 in Turin . In 2005 she also reached sixth place over 1500 m and was ninth in the all-around competition. With the relay she could also achieve two second places in world cup races. In Turin she took part in the 2006 Olympic Games and reached sixth place in the relay.

The 2006/07 season was particularly successful for Priebst . At the World Cup in Heerenveen , she achieved her only podium so far in individual decisions, she was twice third in the 1000 m. At the European Championships in Sheffield , she also won gold in the relay and celebrated her first international title win. Priebst also won relay medals at the following European championships, bronze in 2008 in Ventspils , silver in 2009 in Turin and again gold in 2010 in her hometown of Dresden. At the team world championships in Heerenveen in 2009 and in Bormio in 2010 , she finished seventh with the German team. At the European Championships in Mladá Boleslav in 2012 , Priebst finished fourth with the German relay team, as in the previous year.

Priebst holds the current German record over the distances of 1000 m, 1500 m and 3000 m. The record over 3000 m has been in place since 1998. She has won several titles at German championships since 2001. Priebst is a member of the Bundeswehr sports promotion group .

Christin Priebst was a member of the ESC Dresden until 2001 , whose short trackers and speed skaters founded the Dresden Ice Skating Club that year , to which she has belonged ever since.
