Klaus Graf (born August 19, 1958 in Carinthia ) is an Austrian film producer .

Life

The Graf, who comes from Griffen / Carinthia, was head of a department for vocational adult education at WIFI Carinthia from 1984 until he moved to Casinos Austria as an event manager in 1989 . In 1995 the Austrian film producer Karl Spiehs brought him into the film business. Graf became managing director of the newly founded company Movie & TV-Production Carinthia GmbH (MTC) and in 1996 managing director of Wörthersee Film Produktion GmbH, Lisa Film Vertrieb GmbH and EVENT Filmproduktion GmbH in Munich, founded in 1997 (until 2001). During the years of collaboration with Karl Spiehs, productions such as the television series Klinik unter Palmen and Der Pfundskerl , the television films The Superbullen and Last Chance for Harry emerged .

In 2001 Klaus Graf founded Graf Filmproduktion GmbH in Klagenfurt, and in 2002 Graf Film GmbH in Munich. Both companies are the sole property of Klaus Graf, who is also the sole managing director. The two companies have specialized in the production of fictional TV productions for the German-speaking film and television market; the first feature film is to be made in 2012.

Klaus Graf was a university lecturer at the University of Klagenfurt , is a commercial advisor and chairman of the representative body for the Carinthian film and music industry. He is married and has two grown children. In 2008 he was honored with the Great Decoration of Honor of the State of Carinthia .
