Christina Schindler

Christina Schindler (born January 15, 1962 in Kassel ) is a German film director , screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Christina Schindler studied from 1981 to 1986 at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Kassel in the field of visual communication with a focus on animation film . After graduating with honors, she founded her own animation production company in Berlin and has been working as a freelance director ever since. From 1993 to 1999 she also worked as a lecturer at the University for Film and Television (HFF) "Konrad Wolf" in Potsdam - Babelsberg , from 1999 to 2002 as a visiting professor and since 2002 as a professor in the animation course. In 2004 she became vice dean and head of the course. Her subjects include story development and scripts for animated films as well as the history of animated films . In addition to teaching at the university, she also offers animation workshops for children and adults. a. for the Goethe Institute or at the Berlin Academy of the Arts . Christina Schindler is also a regular jury member at children's and animated film festivals, e.g. B. at the Golden Spatz und Trickfilmfestival Stuttgart (ITFS), in 2003 she was a member of the international jury of the Berlinale Children's Film Festival . In 1987 she received the first of her many awards with the sponsorship award from the Otto Sprenger Foundation Hamburg (see below).
