Christoph Büttner (medical doctor)

Christoph Büttner (born June 14, 1949 in Melle ) is a retired German admiralty doctor.

Life

Büttner joined the Bundeswehr as a naval officer in 1968 . In 1973 he began studying human medicine at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . He finished his studies in 1980. After his time as a medical assistant , he was licensed as a doctor . After graduating as Dr. med. he was a troop and aviation doctor . He then worked in the Federal Ministry of Defense and in the Bundeswehr Personnel Office . In 1990 he received the Bundeswehr Cross of Honor in gold. In 2001 he became admiral doctor in the Navy , and in 2006 commander of the Medical Command II in Diez . In January 2008 he was promoted to Admiralty Staff Doctor and transferred to his last post as Deputy Inspector of the Medical Service of the Bundeswehr and Chief of Staff of the Management Staff of the Medical Service in the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn . He was retired on July 1, 2011. Since January 2012 he has been editor-in-chief of the Medical Corps International Forum (MCIF) magazine.
