Christoph Bizer

Christoph Bizer (born July 18, 1935 in Tailfingen ; † April 12, 2008 in Mechernich - Wachendorf ) was a German Protestant theologian .

Life

Christoph Bizer was a son of the theologian Ernst Bizer . He studied Protestant theology at the Universities of Göttingen and Bonn and received his doctorate in Bonn in 1967 with studies on pseudathanasian dialogues of the Orthodoxos and Aëtios . In 1970 he completed his habilitation at the Philipps University of Marburg with an investigation into teaching and sermon - analyzes and sketches on the approach of catechetical theology to practical theology and was appointed C2 professor there in 1972 . In the following year, Bizer became rector of the religious education institute of the Evangelical Lutheran Regional Church of Hanover , which he headed until 1980. At the same time he worked as an adjunct professor at the Georg-August University in Göttingen. There he followed Götz Harbsmeier as full professor for practical theology in 1979 . In 2000 he was retired.
