Christoph Korn studied philosophy and political science at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main

In the 1980s he was involved in political contexts and worked in 1988/89 as part of a liberation theological project with street children in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo .

The first artistic works were created in the early 1990s, although a political or historical perspective always remained decisive for subsequent artistic work.

For me there is no reason to produce anything artistic, not a sound, not a thought. In the broadest sense, everything is “triggered” by historical thinking. And that's not a conscious decision on my part. It's just like that. ““

Ensembles

Korn worked and works in ensembles with musicians such as Alfred 23 Harth (Imperial Hoot), Rüdiger Carl and Oliver Augst (blank), Wolfgang Schliemann and Joachim Zoepf (AQTRZ), the artist group TEXTxtnd (Oliver Augst / Michaela Ehinger / Marcel Daemgen), Lasse -Marc Riek (series-invisible), Otomo Yoshihide (Long live the people of the Revolution) or in an ensemble with the visual artist Raymond Pettibon (blank meets Pettibon).

solo

Christoph Korn's solo works move at the interface between audio and media art. The main subject of this work is the phenomenon of duration . In recent years, the realizations are increasingly based on strategies of deleting and withdrawing (such as the network installation Waldstück).
