Christoph Reiserer

Christoph Reiserer (* 1966 in Wasserburg am Inn ) is a German composer and musician .

Life

Christoph Reiserer works as a composer, sound installer , concept artist and saxophonist . He completed the university courses of musicology , music education and philosophy in Munich and Berlin . In his works and performances he repeatedly integrates self-programmed electronic music as a supporting medium , as most recently in 2010 in Some Work - Installation for music machines that take over the tasks of musicians during the course of the piece at the Munich Biennale for Music Theater.

As a saxophonist, the Munich Radio Orchestra and the Munich Ensemble for New Music piano possibile invited him to interpret works by Olivier Messiaen and Hanspeter Kyburz . He also plays freely improvised music. For the saxophone , especially the soprano saxophone , he developed special playing techniques.

Christoph Reiserer also emerged as an opera composer. B. 2010 with the music theater Die Nacht des Brokers based on a libretto by Ralph Hammerthaler .

His works were u. a. performed at the Munich Biennale , the Klangspuren Schwaz and the A • DEvantgarde -Festival Munich. Christoph Reiserer lives in Munich.
