From 2006 to 2019 he was a professor at the MUK Music and Art Private University of the City of Vienna (formerly the Conservatory of the City of Vienna).

Stradner plays the "Stradner" violoncello by Antonio Stradivari from 1680, named after him .

reception

On the occasion of the CD recording of Bach's solo suites , Peter Jarolin wrote in the courier “Christoph Stradner succeeds in a miracle. Technological questions do not arise with such a virtuoso anyway, the interpretation is breathtaking. Apparently familiar sounds brand new. "

“Christoph Stradner let the cello sing and cheer. The pleasurable, masterful variety in the details thrilled the audience ... But its beautiful tone enchanted from the start. ” Wiener Zeitung , Vorarlberger Nachrichten

For the performance of the Schumann Cello Concerto, Edwin Baumgartner wrote in the Wiener Zeitung of "intellectually reflected romanticism and eminent sonic beauty."

"Christoph Stradner outlined Don Quixote like an eloquent narrator - annoyingly tense, with a sonorous tone and a fine pianissimo culture." Klassik.com
