Christoph von Bemmel

Christoph von Bemmel (* 1707 in Nuremberg ; † after 1783 ) was a German landscape painter .

Christoph, the first-born son of Peter von Bemmels , did an apprenticeship with his father and then worked - well liked - in Mannheim and Strasbourg . Christoph von Bemmel lived in the Alsatian metropolis, married but childless. In 1783 he visited his nephew Simon Joseph, the second son of his younger brother Johann Christoph, born in 1747 . Then the track of the skillful artist Christoph von Bemmel is lost.

From 1765 to 1767 Johann August Nahl the Younger was a pupil of Bemmel in Strasbourg.
