Christoph von Petz

Christoph von Petz (born May 16, 1901 in Bayreuth ; † 1976 in Tegernsee ) was a German architect and construction clerk .

Christoph von Petz studied architecture from 1920 to 1924 at the Technical University of Munich , among others with Theodor Fischer and German Bestelmeyer . During his studies he already worked in Bestelmeyer's office. He then switched to the post office directorate in Speyer as a trainee lawyer , worked again as an assistant at Bestelmeyer from 1926 to 1928 and became a government architect ( assessor ) in 1927 . From 1929 to 1931 he worked for Hermann Leitenstorfer in the Munich City Planning Department . He then worked for Hans Döllgast as well as Richard Schachner's assistant at the Technical University. During National Socialism , he worked in the building department of the Ministry of the Interior (1933–1935) and for the Supreme Building Authority (1935–1945). After the war he initially worked as a freelance architect until he took over the building management of the Bavarian Palaces, Gardens and Lakes administration in 1949 and then for the government of Upper Bavaria (1953-1958) as well as the Supreme Building Authority and the Department of Culture (1958-1966 ) was active.
