Christophe Munzihirwa Mwene Ngabo
Christophe Munzihirwa Mwene Ngabo SJ (* 1926 in Kabare , Belgian Congo ; † October 29, 1996 ) was a Congolese religious and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Bukavu .
Life
Christophe Munzihirwa Mwene Ngabo received on 17 August 1958, the sacrament of Holy Orders . He later joined the religious community of Jesuits and made profession on September 9, 1965 .
On March 10, 1986 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To Coadjutor Bishop of Kasongo . The Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Cardinal Jozef Tomko , ordained him episcopal on November 9th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the retired Archbishop of Lusaka , Adam Kozłowiecki SJ, and the auxiliary bishop in Mechelen-Brussels , Luc Alfons De Hovre SJ.
Christophe Munzihirwa Mwene Ngabo became Bishop of Kasongo on April 30, 1990, succeeding the resigned Timothée Pirigisha Mukombe . On March 14, 1995, John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Bukavu.
