Théophile Kaboy Ruboneka

Théophile Kaboy Ruboneka (born February 27, 1941 in Bobandana ) is a Congolese clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Goma .

Life

Théophile Kaboy Ruboneka was ordained a priest on August 27, 1972 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Kasongo on November 2, 1995 . The episcopal ordination donated to him the bishop of Goma, Faustin Ngabu , on March 19 of the next year; Co -consecrators were Archbishop Faustino Sainz Muñoz , Apostolic Nuncio in the Democratic Republic of the Congo , and Christophe Munzihirwa Mwene Ngabo SJ , Archbishop of Bukavu .

On April 21, 2009 Benedict XVI appointed him . to coadjutor bishop of Goma. With the retirement of Faustin Ngabus he succeeded this on March 18, 2010 in the office of Bishop of Goma.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on April 23, 2019.
