Willy Ngumbi Ngengele

Willy Ngumbi Ngengele MAfr (born February 13, 1965 in Bujumbura ) is a Burundian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Gomas .

Life

Willy Ngumbi Ngengele joined the Order of the White Fathers , made his profession on December 1, 1992 and was ordained a priest on August 1, 1993 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him bishop of Kindu on April 25, 2007 . The bishop of Kasongo , Théophile Kaboy Ruboneka , gave him episcopal ordination on July 22nd of the same year; Co - consecrators were François-Xavier Maroy Rusengo , Archbishop of Bukavu , and Martin Albert Happe MAfr, Bishop of Nouakchott .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Goma on April 23, 2019. The inauguration took place on May 19 of the same year.
