Christopher Kennedy "Chris" Masterson (born January 22, 1980 on Long Island , New York City ) is an American film actor .

Life

Christopher Masterson became known internationally for his role as Francis in the sitcom Malcolm in the Middle . He came to FOX at the same time as his brother Danny Masterson (Steven Hyde in The Wild Seventies ) and was a guest actor in various series and film productions. Both originally had a role in the movie A Family Called Beethoven , but kept silent about their relatives, as Danny Masterson played a leading role here and Christopher only a supporting role. During production, the producers noticed that the two looked very similar, after which Christopher Masterson was replaced by another actor. Christopher and Danny Masterson and their half-siblings Alanna Masterson (Tara Chambler in The Walking Dead ) and Jordan Masterson, who are also actors, were raised by their parents as Scientologists and are followers of Scientology . Between 2000 and 2007 he was in a relationship with Laura Prepon , known from The Wild Seventies .

Masterson has been DJing under the name of DJ Chris Kennedy for several years. His cousin is the actor Angus T. Jones .
