Scary Movie 2 is a horror comedy from 2001. It is the sequel to Scary Movie . In 2003 the third part, Scary Movie 3 , was released in 2006, the fourth part, Scary Movie 4 and 2013, the fifth part, Scary Movie 5 .

Young Megan Voorhees walks up to the guests in her pajamas at her mother's party at Hell House and pees on the carpet. Later, clergymen Father McFeely and Father Harris come into the house to perform an exorcism on the girl possessed by the ghost of the previous house owner, Hugh Kane. The exorcism fails, however, because Megan insults the priests and the three people involved vomit each other. In the end, McFeely shoots the possessed woman.

A year later, Professor Oldman was looking for participants for a study in a mansion allegedly about sleep disorders . His assistant Dwight, who is in a wheelchair because of paraplegia and is interested in the paranormal , has selected some students. These include Cindy Campbell, Brenda, the sexually disoriented Ray, the stoner Shorty, and Alex and Buddy. The latter falls in love with Cindy, but is rejected by her.

When Cindy arrives at Hell House, she first meets a cheeky parrot and the butler Hanson, whose left hand is deformed. This shows her portraits of Hugh Kane and his wife. When the group has gathered at the table, another participant named Theo joins them. The curse of the possessed Megan is briefly addressed. Participants quickly lose their appetite because Hanson behaves disgustingly while serving the food. Instead, they play some basketball.

Cindy hears a mysterious voice and discovers a hidden room with Buddy, who treats her roughly, based on bloody footprints. Cindy finds a newspaper report about the murder of Hugh Kane and his wife. Looking at a painting, Buddy notices that the woman is very similar to Cindy. Kane's invisible ghost has wild sex with Alex that night. Cindy gets into a fight with a very aggressive cat, whereupon the professor recommends her to team up with Theo. Ray is attacked by a horror clown, but he pulls him under the bed with his long penis and rapes him. Cindy reads in Mrs. Kane's diary that she assumed that her husband was having an affair and briefly seduces Professor Oldman. Shorty is rolled into a giant joint by a hemp plant before his friends distract the plant with salty snacks ("munchies").

The next morning, Cindy tells the rest of the group that Hugh Kane's ghost is after her. Buddy overhears a conversation between Oldman and Dwight in which the assistant warns the professor about a poltergeist . Oldman still wants to go through with the experiment. Theo seduces Dwight into oral sex and thus gets his key. Mrs. Kane's ghost lures Oldman and kills him. When all the doors close, Dwight brings the young people into the laboratory. There he gives them thermal glasses and special pistols.

Then they run through the house. Cindy finds a skeleton in the boiler room where Hugh Kane died, who chases her until Brenda reassembles the skeleton. Alex is struck by a falling chandelier and Shorty has sex with Mrs. Kane's ghost. Cindy and Buddy are locked in a refrigerator. Buddy uses this to get a handjob from Cindy and tosses her against the door with his orgasm. While Dwight fights against Hugh Kane's ghost, Cindy tinkers with various items into a tracked vehicle that she and Buddy use to free herself and Buddy from the refrigerator.

Obsessed with Kane's ghost, Hanson kidnapped Shorty. He opens its skull and instead of a brain, a little rapper can be seen. Cindy, Brenda and Theo have a fight with Hanson that ends in a whirlwind for the time being. Dwight comes up with a plan. Cindy lures Kane's ghost onto a platform. She is rescued by Dwight and Ray while the ghost disappears in a ray of light.

Two months later, Cindy talks to the parrot she took from Hell House. When she goes to a hot dog stand with her boyfriend Buddy , he disappears and Hanson appears. Cindy and Hanson yell at each other in the street before the latter is caught by a car. Inside is Shorty, who is just getting a blowjob from Mrs. Kane's ghost.

Like its predecessor, this film is a parody with numerous allusions to other well-known productions from the horror film genre . To the amazement of many critics, this time the ghost castle forms the central basis of the film, but there are also strong borrowings from the horror classics Poltergeist and The Exorcist . There are also parodies of Hip Hop Hood , Charlie's Angels , Titanic , Dark Legends , 13 Ghosts , Dude, where's my car? , Twister , Amityville Horror , Mission: Impossible II , Matrix , Cast Away , Shadow of Truth , Re-Animator , Hannibal , Final Destination , Hollow Man , The Little Horror Shop , Stephen King's It , a Nike commercial, the A-Team , (in the German version) The weakest fly and find Ghostbusters .

Others

An alternate ending was filmed in which James Woods reappears as Father McFeely. Cindy meets all of her friends and hugs them, glad that she survived the turbulence. McFeely explains to her, however, that her friends are ghosts. This end was refused.

Keenan Ivory Wayans announced that this would be the last film in the series with his participation and kept his word. Afterwards David Zucker took over the direction; this explains the shift from crude fecal humor in the first two films to less shocking slapstick in the sequels.

The mansion, in which the film mostly takes place, was already used for the film Jack Alone in the Series Madness - also known as Des Wahnsinns fat booty - and for the series Batman keeps the world in suspense .

The song Hanson sings to Cindy is the same one the clergyman sings in Poltergeist II - The Other Side and Poltergeist III - The Dark Side of Evil .

Tori Spelling and Kathleen Robertson play back together in this film. The two actresses previously appeared in the series Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1994 to 1997 .

In the film, Cindy drops a book, which Buddy picks up and gives her. It is titled Harry Pothead (Eng. Harry Kiffer ), a reference to Harry Potter .

At the beginning of the film there is an allusion to Dude, where's my car? shown. In the original film, the protagonists were amazed at their tattoos "Dude" and "Sweet" on their necks, which are typical American nicknames. In Scary Movie , buddy's roommates wore the tattoos "Ray" and "fucked me".

The end of the scary movie films is a running gag . In the first part, Cindy screams to the sky and is unexpectedly run over. In part two, she screams to heaven with the villa's butler, only the latter being run over by Shorty. In the third part of the series, Cindy's nephew, Cody, is run over by a car. In the fourth part, the narrator is run over by a bus.

Another running gag in the film series is that Cindy and her friends all die after the first part. In the third part only Cindy and Brenda appear, but Brenda dies in this film. As if by a miracle, Brenda seems to have survived too, since she reappears in the fourth part of the series.

Brenda asks Cindy if she would run away from Ally McBeal too . This is an allusion to the fact that Regina Hall, who plays Brenda, had several guest appearances on the series Ally McBeal and that Ally McBeal actress Calista Flockhart was emaciated at the time.
