Richard Pearson (film editor)

Richard Gordon Pearson (born November 3, 1961 in Minneapolis , Minnesota ) is an American film editor .

Life

Pearson began his career in the 1990s when he edited several episodes of the New York Undercover series from 1994 to 1997 . In 1998 he worked on several episodes of the miniseries From the Earth to the Moon , and in 1999 he was involved in his first movie, Muppets from Space .

For his work on Flight 93 , Pearson was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Editing in 2007 together with his colleagues Christopher Rouse and Clare Douglas . The three won a British Academy Film Award that same year and were also recognized at the Online Film Critics Society Awards .
