Christopher "Chris" Sutton , (born September 10, 1984 ) is a retired Australian cyclist .

Sutton was Australian championship points race on the track in 2004 and in 2005 in Madison . He won another national championship title in 2005 in the road race of the U23 class.

At the end of 2005 Sutton drove as a stagiaire with the UCI ProTeam Cofidis , where he received a professional contract for the 2006 and 2007 seasons. For this team he achieved his first international elite success in March 2006 at the Grand Prix Cholet-Pays de la Loire . He achieved his greatest career success in 2011 for Sky ProCycling with the sprint victory at Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne and winning the second stage of the Vuelta a España in 2011 after an attack 800 meters from the finish. After the end of the 2015 season, Sutton ended his racing career.

Chris Sutton's father is former cyclist and now coach Gary Sutton , his uncle is former cyclist Shane Sutton , who coached the Welsh national team for a while.
