Christ Church (Unterbreizbach)
The listed Evangelical Lutheran Christ Church is in Unterbreizbach , a community in the Wartburg district in Thuringia . The parish Unterbreizbach belongs to the parish area Pferdsdorf (Rhön) in the parish of Bad Salzungen-Dermbach the Evangelical Church in Central Germany . It is also used by Catholic believers.

The hall church was consecrated in 1773. It has a polygonal choir and a slate-covered roof tower with an octagonal, Welsch dome , in which a church bell from 1471 hangs. The interior , which is covered with a barrel vault , has two-story galleries all around, the parapets of which are decorated with biblical scenes and texts. The stone box altar comes from the previous building. The church furnishings also include a reliquary niche and the pulpit above it . The organ with 9 registers , divided between a manual and a pedal , was built in 1976 by Gerhard Böhm .
