Cindy Carr (born before 1983) is a production designer .

Life

Carr began her career in film crew in 1983 as Artdirectorin the B-movie - horror film What's Up, Hideous Sun Demon . In 1987 she worked as a production designer for the first time and from the early 1980s she received engagements in major Hollywood productions such as Mike Nichols In About Henry and Terry Gilliam's fantasy film The King of the Fishermen . For this, she and Mel Bourne were nominated for the first time in 1992 for the Oscar in the category Best Production Design. After a series of action films such as Last Action Hero and True Lies, a second Oscar nomination followed in 1999 for Vincent Ward's Behind the Horizon , together with Eugenio Zanetti .

Carr also repeatedly worked for television, including the television series Dr. House , True Blood and Sleepy Hollow . She was nominated for a Primetime Emmy in 1993 for her work on the miniseries Frank Sinatra - The Path to the Top . In addition, Carr was nominated twice for the “Excellence in Production Design Award” from the Art Directors Guild . However, she could not win any of these awards.
