The Circuit de Pedralbes ( Spanish Circuito de Pedralbes ) was a 6.316 kilometer motorsport racetrack in Barcelona .
history
The course opened in 1946 on the western outskirts of Barcelona. It contained wide roads and wide, sweeping curves. The drivers and spectators loved the course. In the early 1950s, the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix took place here twice . But after the Le Mans tragedy of 1955 , the safety precautions in motorsport were tightened and the Pedralbes Circuit no longer hosted motorsport events.
