Clément Parisse (born July 6, 1993 in Évry ) is a French cross-country skier .

Career

Parisse started for the first time in March 2011 in Rogla over 10 km in the classic Alpine Cup and finished the race in 41st place. He participated for France in the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2012 and 2013 , where he finished 5th and 4th in the relay. In 2013 he placed 12th in the 10 km freestyle and 9th place in the skiathlon, also in the individual competitions, among the top 15. In the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons he competed in U20 races in the Alpine Cup . In 2011/12 he finished tenth and a year later first place in the U20 overall ranking. At the beginning of the 2013/14 season he came eighth in the 10 km freestyle in St. Ulrich am Pillersee for the first time under the top ten in the adult class of the Alpine Cup. In the further course of the season he achieved his first podium place with second place in Valdidentro over 15 km classic and won his first victory in the Alpine Cup in Campra over 15 km freestyle. At the U23 World Championships in 2014 in Val di Fiemme , he finished 25th over 15 km in classic technique. At the beginning of March 2014, he made his World Cup debut in the 15 km freestyle race in Lahti , where he finished 42nd. Later that month, Parisse became the French sprint champion. At the end of the season he achieved sixth place in the overall Alpine Cup ranking. In February 2015, he won the silver medal in skiathlon at the U23 World Championships 2015 in Almaty . In the same month he got his first World Cup points in Östersund with the 29th place over 15 km freestyle. At the following Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun , he finished 24th in the skiathlon and over 15 km freestyle. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he came 54th at the Nordic Opening in Ruka . In January 2016 he won his second victory in the Alpine Cup in Planica over 15 km freestyle. At the U23 World Ski Championships in 2016 in Râşnov , he won the silver medal over 15 km freestyle. In the season 206/17 he achieved the 23rd place in the Tour de Ski 2016/17 and the 39th place in the World Cup finals in Québec and thus finished 44th place in the overall World Cup and 32nd place in the Distance World Cup. In December 2017 he achieved his first podium finish in the World Cup with third place in the relay in La Clusaz . At the season highlight of the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti, he came 32nd in the skiathlon, 16th in the 50 km mass start race and seventh place in the relay. The following year he won the bronze medal with the relay at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang .

In the 2018/19 season, Parisse took 18th place in the Lillehammer Triple, 27th place in the Tour de Ski 2018/19 and 28th place in the World Cup finals in Québec and thus achieved 34th place in the overall World Cup and 23rd place. Place in the distance world cup. At the season highlight, the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol , he won the bronze medal with the relay. In the individual races he was there tenth in the 50 km mass start race and fifth in the skiathlon .
