Classics of Western Spirituality

The Classics of Western Spirituality ( Classics of Western Spirituality is) an English-language book series , which offers a collection of classics of Western spirituality and an extensive library of historical texts to the Christian as well as a representative selection of works of Jewish, Islamic, Sufi and Indian spirituality represents. Much of the work has been translated into English. The series was published in New York by Paulist Press. It contains various genres of spiritual writing, including poems, songs, essays, theological treatises, meditations, mystical biographies, and philosophical investigations. The collection includes works by famous authors such as Augustine and Martin Luther as well as lesser-known authors such as Maximus Confessor and Moses de León . The series comprises more than 120 volumes; it is thematically subdivided into pre-Reformation Christianity (55 volumes), Christianity after the Reformation (44 volumes) and Judaism, Islam and Indian religions (27 volumes).
