Vincent De Paul (born Salvatore Vincent De Paul Zannino on September 2, 1968 in Baltimore , Maryland ( USA ) ) is an American actor and model .

Life

Born the son of an undertaker, he attended the Catholic Our Lady of Pompei High School as part of his school education . After successfully completing his degrees in epidemiology, bioethics and biostatistics, he worked in Miami Beach at Mount Sinai Hospital (New York) . After being discovered by designer Gianni Versace , he began a modeling and film career. He appeared in magazines such as GQ , Vogue , Cosmopolitan and  Men's Health and advertised L'Oreal , Fuji and Guy La Roche. He is a member of the Producers Guild of America , SAG-AFTRA and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences . He is a supporter of the Special Olympics , the largest sporting event for people with intellectual disabilities.

Career

De Paul began his acting career with the role of Beowulf , one of the oldest works in the Old English language. De Paul made his first appearance in the film in Hairspray as Carmelita's dance partner. Since then, he has made several appearances on television series such as The West Wing , Frasier , As the World Turns , Six Feet Under , Mad Men and Big Time Rush . De Paul is president and co-founder of the production company Five Arts Productions and produced so far feature films and art house short films, including the triathlon film TRI where Jai Jamison director was the film Take Two for Faith , directed by Nancy Criss , the film Razors directed by Ian Powell , All Out Dysfunction! and Ear of the Beholder . In the latter film, he worked with his teacher and mentor Sally Kirkland . He also appeared on Hitch (2005) and Poseidon (2006). He co-produced the films Make a wish and Walk a mile in my pradas . In 2011 he had a role as Doug Damian in the feature film Silver Case , which Christian Filippella directed and De Paul also co-produced.

For the role of Doug Damian in Christian Filippella's film Silver Case , De Paul was named Best Actor by the LA Film and New Media Film Festival in 2013 .

Between 2011 and 2018 he appeared in twenty episodes of the web series The Bay , which has received multiple awards, including the Daytime Emmy. In 2015 De Paul produced A Beverly Hills Christmas with Dean Cain , John Savage , Kirsten Lea and Donna Spangler . In 2016, director Roy Belfrey made a pilot called In the Black , which was inspired by Wolf of Wall Street and based on interviews with Stratton-Oakmont staff. De Paul plays Damon Whitney , the owner of the brokerage firm. In 2018 the sequel to A Beverly Hills Christmas , This Is Our Christmas , was released, with De Paul serving as producer and actor.

De Paul also works with the German TV producer and media expert Chris G. Maier from networxTV , who is his agent in Germany. Maier is also said to be responsible for film castings in Europe for De Paul's upcoming productions.

In 2019 he was named Best Actor at the French Rivera Film Festival for his role in the British comedy Matty Boy .
