Claudia Barrenechea Troncoso (born June 1, 1977 in Lautaro ) is a former Chilean biathlete .

Claudia Barrenechea contested her first race in the Biathlon World Cup at the start of the season , which was held in Hochfilzen and Antholz . in the individual she reached the 98th place, in the sprint the 102nd place. In 2004 she achieved her best result in a pure World Cup race with a 75th place in a sprint race. Barrenechea ran her first international championship as part of the 2001 Military World Ski Championships in Jericho . In the sprint, she finished 36th. The 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City were the highlight of his career . At the competitions in Soldier Hollow , the Chilean reached 74th place in the sprint race and 67th place in the individual. Alongside Carlos Varas , who competed in the men, she was the first Chilean biathlete to compete in the Olympic Games. Next major event was the Military World Ski Championships 2003 of Rovaniemi , where the Chilean 15-kilometer freestyle 29 was. A year later in Östersund Barrenechea was 32nd in the 15-kilometer freestyle, 39th in the sprint and with Verónica Isbej , Claudia Salcedo and Ana Maria Palma eleventh in the military patrol. In 2005 , a 30th place in the 15-kilometer freestyle was added in Predeal . After the 2004/05 season , Barrenechea ended her international career.
