Claudia Kade
Claudia Kade (* 1972 in Hamburg ) is a German journalist . She is the head of politics at the daily newspaper Die Welt .

Kade graduated from high school in 1991 and then studied journalism and economics in Dortmund .
Life
From 1994 to 1999 she worked as a freelancer for ZDF in Mainz . There she worked for the newsroom today and Frontal magazine . From 1999 to 2008 she worked as a correspondent for the Reuters news agency in Berlin. From 2005 her journalistic focus was on the processes in the Chancellery and in the CDU / CSU . From 2008 she worked for the Financial Times Deutschland with the same focus . After the Financial Times Deutschland was closed in 2012, Kade was hired in the Politics department of Welt / Welt am Sonntag . She has been Head of Politics at Welt since 2017.
Kade is a regular guest on talk shows like phoenix , Markus Lanz , Anne Will , Maybrit Illner , hart but fair and ZDF-Morgenmagazin . She has been a permanent member of Thadeusz und die Beobachter since 2016 (succeeding Ulrike Demmer ).
She is also currently analyzing the projections for the federal and state elections for the special program phoenix on site .
