Claudia Solzbacher

Claudia Solzbacher (born August 11, 1956 in Bonn ) was Professor of School Education at the University of Osnabrück until October 2019 . She was there u. a. Managing Director of the Institute for Educational Science and member of the University Council. In addition, she was the founding board member of the Lower Saxony Institute for Early Childhood Education and Development (Nifbe) from 2008-2016 and headed the research center for talent development there from 2008-2016 . From 2012–2016 she was Vice President of the German University Association. Claudia Solzbacher is u. a. since 2010 board member of the international center for gifted education (ICBF) of the Westphalian Wilhelms-Universität Münster and member of the International Panel of Experts for gifted education (IPEGE).

Life

Claudia Solzbacher passed the first state examination for teaching at the secondary level II at the University of Bonn in 1982 . In 1986 she completed her doctorate in educational science on the subject of "School criticism in the literature of the early twentieth century" with Erich E. Geißler and Josef Derbolav at the philosophical faculty of the University of Bonn. Her habilitation on “Political Education in the Pluralist Rule of Law” took place there in 1992.

Teaching

Claudia Solzbacher has been a full professor for school pedagogy in the Department of Education and Cultural Studies at the University of Osnabrück since 1997 . Her main research interests are in the field of talent development, teaching professions and networking.
