Claus Vollmers

Claus Vollmers (born September 18, 1878 in Twielenfleth ; † January 15, 1936 in Stade ) was a German farmer and politician ( DNVP , CNBL ).

Life

Vollmers was born the son of a shipper. After attending primary school, he first worked as a helmsman. Following the First World War, he worked as a practical farmer and farm owner in Altendorf bei Osten . In addition to his professional activity, he was first chairman of the federal state and first chairman of the board of the agricultural cooperative for the district of Neuhaus / Oste .

During the time of the Weimar Republic Vollmers joined the German National People's Party (DNVP). From November 1925 to 1929 he was a member of the Hanover Provincial Parliament , from 1926 as a member of the working group . In 1928 he left the DNVP and became a member of the Christian National Peasant and Rural People's Party (CNBL). In May 1928 he was elected as a member of the Prussian state parliament, to which he belonged until 1932 as a member of the German parliamentary group. In parliament he represented constituency 15 (East Hanover).
