Clayton James Fettell (born May 29, 1986 in Wollongong ) is a former triathlete from Australia who is now a coach.

Career

Clayton Fettell was known as a fast swimmer. In 2006 he was tenth at the Aquathlon World Championships in Lausanne. At the world championship on the long distance triathlon he was tenth in 2009 in Perth.

He was trained by Grant Giles and, since 2016, by Cameron Watt .

Clayton Fettell mainly starts in races in the middle distance and since 2011 also in the long distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running). In May 2017, as in the previous year, he was third at Ironman Australia .

He declared his active time over in 2017 and has been a coach on the Clayton Fettell Racing team ever since .

Private

Clayton Fettell has been married since December 2015 and lives in East Ballina with his wife and their two sons .
