Clemens Kohl ( Kliment Kohl in Czech , born December 14, 1754 in Prague , † March 1807 in Vienna ) was an Austrian engraver, etcher and illustrator.

Clemens Kohl was a son of the engraver Anton Kohl and the grandson of the sculptor Hieronymus Kohl . He received his first art lessons from his older brother Ludwig Kohl (1746-1821) and first set up at the kk normal school in Prague. From 1775 he studied at the Art Academy in Vienna with Jacob Matthias Schmutzer .

The Archduchess and Queen Maria Theresa appointed him their drawing teacher, later to the kk court engraver.

Clemens Kohl illustrated dozens of books for various publishing houses, created copperplate engravings based on the works of famous masters and also based on his own models and models from his brother Ludwig, as well as portraits in particular.

The engraver Johann Blaschke was one of his students .
