From 2009 Schattschneider took part in competitions of the TTR World Snowboard Tour and in FIS competitions. He drove his first FIS World Cup race in November 2009 in Saas-Fee , which he finished in 56th place on the halfpipe. His first podium places on the World Snowboard Tour came with second place on the halfpipe at the Shred Down Austrian Masters in Innsbruck and in slopestyle at the Protest World Rookie Finals 2010 in Ischgl . At the beginning of the 2010/11 season in London he took tenth place in Big Air, his first top ten placement in the World Cup. At the 2011 Snowboard World Championships in La Molina , he finished 47th on the halfpipe, tenth in big air competition and fifth in slopestyle. In February 2011 he won his first World Cup race in Slopestyle in Calgary . This was followed by a third place in slopestyle at the end of the season in Bardonecchia . He finished the season in second place in the FIS Freestyle ranking and first place in the FIS Big Air ranking. At the 2011 Snowboard Junior World Championships in Valmalenco , he won gold in slopestyle.
