Clive lunge
Clive Longe ( Clive Citreon Olaf Longe; born February 23, 1938 in British Guiana , † December 27, 1986 in Hamilton , Bermuda ) was a British decathlete .
In 1966 he won silver starting for Wales at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston . At the European Athletics Championships in Belgrade , he was ninth.
In 1968 he came in 13th place at the Olympic Games in Mexico City . At the EM in 1969 in Athens, he gave up after the ninth discipline.
In 1964 he was Welsh champion in the decathlon and in 1966 in the shot put and discus throw . He set his personal best of 7308 points on June 29, 1969 in Kassel .
He was married to the Norwegian Erika Gronner. Their daughter Tania Longe was Norwegian heptathlon champion in 2000.
