Clive Stevens

Clive Stevens (born February 18, 1948 in Bristol - † January 24, 2019 ) was a British jazz and fusion musician ( saxophone , flute , keyboard , percussion ).

Live and act

Stevens took saxophone lessons from Eddie Jackman and Ronnie Ross . In 1970 he was involved in Manfred Mann's Chapter III before moving to the United States, where he studied composition, arrangement and improvisation at Berklee College of Music . He continued his education at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music , the Guildhall School of Music and the US Naval Academy of Music and took private lessons with Lee Konitz (saxophone) and William Allaudin Mathieu (composition).

Stevens toured Europe, India, the United States, the Caribbean and South America. He has worked as a sideman with numerous musicians, including John Abercrombie , Billy Cobham , Steve Hackett , Gilberto Gil , Naná Vasconcelos , Mino Cinelu , Ralph Towner , Joe Delia , Hugo Fattoruso , Charles Austin / Joe Gallivan , Rick Laird and Manolo Badrena and recorded several own albums.
