The club zone is a club festival launched by the radio station Energy Sachsen . It takes place at regular intervals in the city ​​center and neighboring districts of Leipzig . After initially irregular appointments, two club zones are held annually, mostly in spring and autumn. The spectrum of the participating clubs consists of annually fixed as well as constantly changing participants. It is one of the largest music festivals of its kind in central Germany .

General

The concept of the club zone is to give visitors access to the participating locations with a central ticket. The ticket price is € 10 in advance sales and € 15 at the box office (as of October 2011). It has become common to get a welcome drink (usually a shot ) in every club . Most of the venues are in downtown Leipzig. In addition to clubs, Leipzig Central Station also opened its doors to visitors. The hall turned out to be a stroke of luck for the organizers due to the large capacity and the good acoustics . Various clubs also take part in the club zone outside of Leipzig city center. So took z. In 2007, for example, East Germany's oldest techno club participated for the first time with the Distillery in Südvorstadt.

The number of clubs on offer was reduced in order to enable guests to reach all places by foot. The Leipzig locations Barfusz, Diamonds, Marktgalerie and the Moritzbastei took part in the campaign. This meant that some prestigious clubs fell away, while others were added. As for the bridging event in 2009, the Alte Hauptpost also opened its doors.

The last club zone took place on October 5, 2013. A headphone party was held in the Höfe am Brühl under the motto Silent Noize . With the Leipziger Partytram , the Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe offered a tram that traveled regularly around the inner city ring, in which music was played and people could dance.
