Life

Winski was born in Hollywood in 1957 and grew up in Venice (Los Angeles) . He graduated from Chatsworth High School in the San Fernando Valley . 1973 Winski met Ronnie Weiser , owner of the Rollin 'Rock label, at an Elvis concert . In addition to his school friend Jerry Sikorwski and Billy Zoom , the later guitarist of Band X , Winski was guitarist and singer in Ray Campi's band Ray Campi and His Rockabilly Rebels . With the band Winski recorded two LPs and starred in the music films Blue Suede Shoes , Rebel Beat - The Story of LA Rockabilly and the film Teenage Cruisers by Johnny Legend . Winski made the creaking sound of the title Squeaky Shoes with Gene Vincent's leather jacket, a personal gift from Gene to Weiser.

With Jerry Sikorski, Steve Clark, Richard Levinson and Ken Jacobs, Winski founded the band The Rebels in 1980 . The band opened for Tom Petty , The Clash and Judas Priest . The album Rock Therapy was created with changing musicians. After some drug experiences and depression, Colin moved his family to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1985 and worked as a construction worker and for a security company at the Biltmore Hotel.

In 1993 he recorded a new album with Helldorado with some self-written titles and cover versions. The band here was drummer Brian Fahey, Bruce Hamblin on double bass and Pat Moore on guitar. In addition to some cover versions by Tommy Blake , Sonny Burgess and Jackie Lee Cochran , the album also includes original compositions.
