The Kollegium Aloisianum is a private Catholic grammar school and secondary school with public rights in Linz . It is located in the statistical district of Freinberg and has existed in this form since 1912. Before that, the Bischöfliche Gymnasium had been located there since at least 1851 and was moved to the Petrinum College in 1897 .

In its mission statement, drawn up in 1997 and adopted in 2007, the school is committed to the principles of Jesuit education. It is supported by the Kollegium Aloisianum school association , which in turn is maintained by the Jesuit order , the Linz diocese and several private individuals.

classes

In the 1st and 2nd grades (5th and 6th grade) there are three accompanying teachers (one per class) in addition to the professors. In the main subjects (German, mathematics and English) a support teacher sits in the back of the class and notes down the most important things of the lesson. In the 3rd and 4th grade (7th and 8th grade) the whole thing looks a little different. There are only 2 accompanying teachers per year who are on duty at the same time. Nobody is sitting in the back of the class anymore. From the 1st to the 4th grade (5th to 8th grade) you can find the accompanying teachers in the year. They are always there for student matters. In the 5th to 8th grade (9th to 12th grade) there are no longer any accompanying teachers.

management

The management includes the school management (director), the pedagogical management, the administrative management and the school secretariat.

Classes and gender distribution

In the lower grades there are three classes per year. The lower level comprises 12 classes. In the upper school there are only two classes per year. It thus comprises a total of eight classes. Thus the Kollegium Aloisianum has a total of 20 classes. A class usually comprises around 20 pupils, boys - girls - ratio: about 1: 1.
