The Collegium Civitas (CC) is a private university based on the 12th floor of the Warsaw Palace of Culture and Science .

history

The college was founded in 1997 by the staff of the Institute for Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences . The Collegium Civitas only moved into its current location in 2003. It used to work in various makeshift buildings. On November 28, 2005, the university was authorized to award doctorates in the field of sociological sciences.

There are currently around two thousand students studying, many of them from abroad, supervised by around two hundred teachers.

Since the 2012/2013 academic year, the Collegium Civitas has offered lectures in three directions of the first and second degree: Sociology, Political Science and International Relations, both in direct and correspondence courses. In the fields of International Relations and Sociology, the lectures are also held in English. As part of the Collegium Civitas there is a course on counter-terrorism.
