Radio Tok FM (written as a logo / word mark TOK FM ) is a national Polish private news broadcaster with FM stations in 17 cities in Poland. The station is based in Warsaw. The owners have been Agora SA (66 percent) and the weekly magazine Polityka since 2005 .

history

The station was founded in 1998 as a news program under the name Inforadio . The first broadcasters covered the cities of Elbląg , Gdańsk , Gdynia and Gorzów Wielkopolski . In the same year the name was changed to Tok FM . The focus was more on talk shows and commented live reports .

In 2003 it was switched back to a pure message format. News and topic-specific information blocks were sent every 20 or 60 minutes . In addition, the focus was on interviews with well-known journalists and columnists.

Theater radio series Teatr Radia Tok FM

The "Theater Radio" series Teatr Radia Tok FM started in November 2008. It brought radio plays with well-known actors and directors . The artistic director of the program was Mikołaj Lizut. After 10 radio plays, the series was discontinued after February 2, 2009. At times there was a dedicated thematic channel on the Internet, which, in addition to this series from the main program, brought additional programs and interviews and provided podcast offers from this channel.

News and weather are broadcast every 20 minutes during the day (hourly at night and on weekends), and business news , sports and culture several times a day on weekdays.

In between, information blocks from a wide range of topics are offered. Individual music programs are also part of the program.

In 2008, Media & Marketing Polska honored Tok FM with the title “Sender of the Year”.

Reception is currently possible via the following VHF transmitters: Gorzów Wielkopolski (87.9 MHz), Toruń (88.2 MHz), Elbląg (89.2 MHz), Lublin (93.8 MHz), Kielce (94.9 MHz ), Gdynia (95.2 MHz), Wrocław (95.8 MHz), Opole (96.9 MHz), Łódź (97.4 MHz), Katowice (97.4 MHz), Poznań (97.7 MHz), Warszawa (97.7 MHz), Gdańsk (97.8 MHz), Szczecin (99.3 MHz), Płock (101.2 MHz), Kraków (102.9 MHz) and Radom (104.0 MHz)

The program will continue to be broadcast as a live stream on the Internet and by satellite via Hot Bird 9 .
