Colli Martani
Under the designation Colli Martani DOC are Italian wines from the province of Perugia in the region Umbria marketed. They have had a "controlled designation of origin " ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC) since 1972 , which was last updated on March 7, 2014.

Colli Martani is offered in many different types of wine:
Almost single origin wines
The following wines must contain at least 85% of the named grape variety . A maximum of 15% other analogous grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Umbria region may be added.
- Colli Martani Trebbiano : The Malvasia Bianca di Candia and / or Malvasia Bianca Lunga grape varieties - individually or together - must not make up more than 10% of the total mixture.
- Colli Martani Grechetto and Colli Martani Grechetto di Todi : The Malvasia Bianca di Candia and / or Malvasia Bianca Lunga grape varieties - individually or together - must not make up more than 10% of the total mixture.
- Colli Martani Sangiovese
- Colli Martani Cabernet Sauvignon
- Colli Martani Merlot (also called "Riserva")
- Colli Martani Sauvignon Blanc : The Malvasia Bianca di Candia and / or Malvasia Bianca Lunga grape varieties - individually or together - must not make up more than 10% of the total mixture.
- Colli Martani Chardonnay : The grape varieties Malvasia Bianca di Candia and / or Malvasia Bianca Lunga - individually or together - must not make up more than 10% of the total mixture.

Blending wines
- Colli Martani Bianco . Must consist of at least 50% Trebbiano grape variety . A maximum of 50% other white grape varieties approved for cultivation in the Umbria region may be added. The grape varieties Malvasia Bianca di Candia and / or Malvasia Bianca Lunga - individually or together - must not make up more than 10% of the total mixture.
- Colli Martani Rosso . Must consist of at least 50% Sangiovese grape variety . A maximum of 50% other red grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Umbria region may be added.
- Colli Martani Spumante . The white sparkling wine consists of at least 50% of the grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and / or Grechetto. A maximum of 50% other white grape varieties approved for cultivation in the Umbria region may be added. The grape varieties Malvasia Bianca di Candia and / or Malvasia Bianca Lunga - individually or together - must not make up more than 10% of the total mixture.
Cultivation
The cultivation and vinification of the wines are only permitted in the province of Perugia in the municipalities: Gualdo Cattaneo and Giano dell'Umbria and in parts of the municipalities of Todi , Massa Martana , Monte Castello Vibio , Montefalco , Castel Ritaldi , Spoleto , Bevagna , Cannara , Bettona , Deruta and Collazzone .
